For Clear Creek County Clerk & Recorder

For All of Clear Creek County

The Clerk & Recorder’s office isn’t one we think about every day but it’s a vital part of life in Clear Creek County. It’s where you record documents, register vehicles, obtain a marriage license, and exercise your right to vote. It’s where you access your government face to face.

And because of that, it has to work – every time.

It’s important to have a Clerk & Recorder who understands the statutes that govern these responsibilities and is committed to following the law and ensuring every voice in Clear Creek is heard and counted.

I bring that understanding, along with a commitment to honesty, transparency, and accuracy in everything this office does.

I’m not running to reinvent this office. I’m running to support the strong systems and the team already in place and make sure they continue to work consistently, correctly, and for everyone in Clear Creek County.

Voting

Clear Creek County is fortunate to have a legacy of strong Clerk & Recorders. Even in the closest races, where recounts are required, our elections have proven accurate and reliable. Voters here have the ability to vote by mail, drop off a ballot, or vote in person, ensuring access that works for everyone. The right to vote is fundamental, and I am committed to safeguarding that right for every voter in Clear Creek County.

Experience that serves
Clear Creek

I’ve committed myself to this community through hands-on involvement in local government, working within established systems, following state and local guidelines, and helping ensure processes are carried out correctly. I believe good government requires people who are willing to step in, understand the system, and do the work.

That work includes:

Idaho Springs City Council
Historic Preservation Review Commission
Idaho Springs Historical Society
Planning Commission
Friends of the Library
School Bond Citizens’ Accountability Taskforce

Additionally, I’m taking the clerk training classes through the Colorado Municipal League. While there is no experience like learning through doing, I want to be as prepared as possible for this office on day one.

I’m not a lifelong resident of Clear Creek County, but choosing to live here was intentional. After living in communities across the country, I bring a broad perspective working with all kinds of people and a deep appreciation for what makes our county special.

I’m also a small business owner and have been self-employed for over twenty years. I understand responsibility, budgeting, and what it takes to keep things running consistently. Throughout my career I’ve worked within systems where accuracy, deadlines, and accountability matter.

All of this experience translates directly to the Clerk & Recorder’s office, where the work must be handled correctly, consistently, and in accordance with the law—every time.
